The harvest of 1400 olive trees in Marlborough will use traditional European methods this weekend – long mats and big sticks. The Marlborough Returned and Services Association (RSA) is holding its annual olive harvest at the Burleigh Memorial Olive Grove, in Blenheim, from Friday to Sunday.

World olive oil production exceeds 3.2m tons

 According to the latest production figures released by the International Olive Council (IOC), world olive oil output for the 2015/2016 season has been better than initially expected.
