By becoming a financial member of the Australian Olive Association (AOA) you will be doing your bit to financially support and empower the AOA to represent your interests and to help build a sustainable and profitable future for our industry.

Membership enables the AOA to continue its important work protecting our industry; promoting our products; and assisting members to maximise their productivity, profitability and sustainability. Following is a list of just a few of the initiatives that membership dollars supports:

National Olive Industry Conference and Trade Exhibition

Held annually, it's an opportunity for industry to come together to learn and network.

Grower Field Days, Workshops & Webinars

Aimed at both new and existing growers, covering topics such as grove management, sales & marketing, EVOO and table olive production.

The Australian International Olive Awards

Recognising the highest quality oils and table olives from across the globe.

Biosecurity Management

Voice to government - biosecurity legislation, PHA Biosecurity Levy; education; communication; industry liaison.

Market Surveillance

Periodic market surveying of olive oils for quality and labelling integrity.

OliveCare®

Developed to underpin and enhance the high quality of all Australian olive products and associated production processes.  Signatories (exclusive to AOA members upon application) that are certified can display the well known triangle and other certified trademarks on their packaging.

Consumer Awareness

The Australian Extra Virgin website is designed especially for consumers, providing comprehensive information on olives with links to OliveCare® certified brands.

TasteBook®

TasteBook® is an AOA sensory training initiative in appreciating, describing and understanding how to improve the quality of EVOO and table olives.

Peak Industry Body Activities

Membership fees also fund programs in: government relations, advocacy and representation on issues impacting on our industry; and also affiliations and taskforces with other horticultural/ agricultural industries and Hort Innovation to address problems we all share. AOA also manages the olive industry biosecurity program and takes responsibility for other industry risk minimization and crisis management activities across the industry. These essential activities often go under the radar.

To become a financial member complete the Membership Form via the button below - fees are outlined towards the bottom of the form.

Allow up to 48 working hours for processing of the membership application form. Upon membership approval, an invoice will be emailed. Upon receipt of payment, member login details to the AOA website is provided via email (member login is required to access exclusive content in the Members Lounge and event and Classifieds discounts). A welcome pack is also sent to Australian applicants upon payment, which includes a copy of the Olive Growing book.
