Are your labels compliant?
Getting your labels right is crucial but, with a bunch of regulations and variables involved, not always straightforward. So with packaging of new season’s oils rising up the ‘to do’ list, the AOA is holding a FREE webinar to arm you with all the necessary information to ensure your product labels are compliant with the FSANZ Food Standards Code.
Presented by AOA CEO and OliveCare® Administrator Michael Southan, the webinar is being held in response to ongoing questions from producer about labelling requirements.
“The AOA regularly receives enquiries about what needs to be on a label, particularly from new producers and small producers who are not sure of the requirements. Also what is needed to sell bulk oil vs retail packaging,” Southan said.
“So the webinar is a refresher on the topic, pulling together all of the AOA’s resource information and working through it. It’s an extension of the recent Back to Basics field program with a dedicated focus on labelling, as there are regulations and laws that need to be adhered to.
“That’s crucial learning for new producers and also an important reminder for established brands, particularly in terms of any updates to labelling requirements.”
Topics covered will include:
- Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ);
- Australian Consumer Law;
- AOA product labelling guidelines;
- OliveCare® Product Packaging, Labelling and Distribution Best Practice checklist.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions during the webinar.
