The following herbicides are registered for use on olives:

  • GLYPHOSATE (Roundup) - Group M Herbicide - Non-selective herbicide for the control of many annual and perennial weeds - MRL=0.1
  • GLUFOSINATE-AMMONIUM (Relyon Basher) - Group N Herbicide - Non-Residual Control of Broadleaf and Grass Weeds in Various Situations - MRL=0.1
  • PENDIMETHALIN (Fist) - Group D Herbicide - for the control of wireweed, annual grasses (including annual ryegrass) and certain broadleaf weeds - MRL=0.05
  • OXYFLUORFEN (Smart) - Group G Herbicide - For the selective control of certain broadleaf and grass weeds - MRL=1
  • CARFENTRAZONE-ETHYL (Spotlight) - Group G Herbicide - for de-suckering olives - MRL=0.05
  • ORYZALIN (Sharp Shooter) - Group D Herbicide - pre-emergent control in non bearing orchards - MRL=0.1

The product labels will specify the appropriate withholding period.

Note: We have not included a large number of bait sprays that may be applicable to olive groves and are not applied directly to a crop.
