Yields down but quality up as West Australian olive harvest finishes

Western Australia’s olive harvest is in full swing and growers say the season is producing good quality oil. Producers in the north of the growing region are wrapping up picking and those in the south still face some long weeks ahead. WA Olive Council president Chris Mercer said the York region, the south-west and the Great Southern region were having strong seasons.
