Engage and innovate!

Australian Grown Innovation

Australian-Grown Innovation is running FREE Engage workshops across Australia and online this October and November, and you’re invited to join them to learn about the practical process of innovation.

The Engage sessions are a series of practical workshops created by horticulture, for horticulture. Designed for growers, producers, supply chain participants and others working across the sector, the sessions provide practical tools to help you identify opportunities, develop new ideas and turn them into real outcomes.

Session attendees will:

  • use practical innovation tools to explore whether an idea has market potential;
  • learn how innovation is being applied across horticulture through real examples;
  • identify opportunities to improve efficiency, diversify income or solve a business challenge;
  • connect with growers and other horticulture professionals facing similar challenges.

Upcoming sessions

  • Ourimbah, NSW – Tuesday, 27 October
  • Adelaide, SA – Wednesday, 28 October
  • Ayr, QLD – Thursday, 5 November
  • Online – Monday, 9 November and Wednesday, 11 November
  • St Kilda, VIC – Monday, 23 November

Participation is free, and no previous innovation experience is required. Choose your session and secure your place here.

About Australian-Grown Innovation

Australian-Grown Innovation is a Hort Innovation program delivered by Startupbootcamp with industry partners, aimed at building innovation capability across Australian horticulture.

Designed for Australian growers and the broader horticulture value chain, the program accelerates grower-led innovation by turning great ideas into commercially viable products and services that deliver real impact on the ground.

Running from 2025-2030, the program supports multiple cohorts each year through a three-stage pathway – Engage, Incubate and Build – combining mentorship, capability development and industry connections to develop solutions to key challenges such as climate resilience, value-added products, AI-driven technologies, and supply chain improvements.
