TasWeekend Travel: Olive the perks
Villa Rochford is part of Rochford Hall olive grove at Kellevie, just off the Arthur Highway on the way to the Tasman Peninsula. The original country house was built in the 1870s by seafarer Richard Copping, for whom the nearby township of Copping is named. We arrived early on Friday evening after work, a late check-in made worth the wait when we were excitedly greeted by one of the friendly resident pooches. Owners Paul and Chris weren’t far behind – just in from tending their award-winning grove of Koroneiki and Picual olive trees.
