All olive oils aren’t created equal

Australians love it when one of their own take on the world and win. But few would expect Aussie victory in something as distinctly European as olive oils. At the world’s largest olive oil awards – the New York International Olive Oil Competition – Australian producers walked away with four of 18 possible “Best in Class” medals in 2015, from a field of almost 700 oils and 25 countries. It was a stunning result for a country that produces just 1% of the world’s olive oil.
