Good growing conditions bring Canberra region’s olives on early for fruit and oil processing

Olive growers in the Canberra region are picking early with a higher than expected harvest. The excellent conditions are likely to make for superior table fruit and greater numbers for processing into oil. However, with the fruit ripening early, winds that hit the region shook some of the olives destined for table fruit from the trees.
