Last days to have your say on future Olive R&D investment priorities
Have you shared your priorities for future olive fund R&D expenditure? If not, there’s still time to add your input to the process.
The Olive Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) is the roadmap that guides Hort Innovation’s oversight and management of the olive industry’s R&D program, laying the foundation for decision-making in investments.
The SIP ensures that the investment decisions align with olive industry priorities, with every olive levy-funded R&D project reflecting at least one of the SIP priority outcomes.
The current five-year olive SIP expires in June 2026, and Hort Innovation is seeking grower input as it develops the next plan. To confirm the strategies which will guide investment for the next five years, they want to identify what growers think about the priorities for project funding and the direction industry R&D should take.
They’re doing that via an online survey, and are keen to hear from as many levy payers and other growers as possible. It’s not too arduous, with just 21 questions and 15 strategies to vote on, so well worth taking 10 minutes to have your say on the future use of your levy funds.
The survey will close in mid-January, so please click through and complete it NOW, before time runs out to log your priorities.
If you have any comments or questions on either the survey or the SIP process, you can contact Hort Innovation Industry Service Manager Nicole Dimos Byrnes at [email protected] or 0499 989 791.
