Keeping the Sydney Opera House healthy and clean is an act of love by Steve Tsoukalas for the “other woman” in his life. Over the past 12 years, the 72-year-old cleaner and maintenance guru has been responsible for a green cleaning revolution at the Opera House by pioneering the use of bicarbonate of soda, white clay, olive oil and Lux laundry flakes, to replace harsher chemicals.
