Southern European oils dominate Zurich awards

Italy and Spain have dominated at the 9th International Olive Award, held as part of the 9th International Olive Congress – Zurich 2010.

With more than 38% of oils entered, Italy gained 4 Golden Olive awards, 14 Silver Olive awards and 2 Best of category awards. Spain had considerably fewer oils entered (22%) but also took 4 Golden Olive Awards and 2 Best of category awards, along with 2 Silver Olive Awards.
