A taverna owner in the northern Greek town of Preveza has been caught stealing oil from graveyard lamps to use in the taverna kitchen. Traditionally, olive oil is used to keep the grave side lamps burning in Greek cemeteries. In the midst of economic crisis cheaper types of oil may be used, and not all of them edible. Now one taverna owner has been caught out using the oil stolen from the grave side lamps for cooking and salad dressings.
