Poppin’ Olive offers healthy alternative to traditional movie theater popcorn

Cynthia Vickrey grew up in and around movie theatres. Her father owned a number of them around Metro Detroit. It was a time when movies like The Godfather, Dr Zhivago and Jaws were packing theaters. “I grew up behind the concession stand selling popcorn and candy all day long for many years,” Cynthia says. And today, Cynthia is still working those concession stands … in a different way. “I thought, you know what, I wanted people to have a choice when they went to the movie theatres, a healthy choice,” she says.
