Olive oil producers push past post-crisis slick

The grass beneath Malcolm and Sue Lee’s hundreds of olive trees may be scorched by a string of hot Western Australian days, but there’s no denying it – there are worse places to work. “It’s quite a pleasant occupation,” says Malcolm Lee. The olive grove on Tarnagulla Farm, just a handful of kilometres out of the South West town of Balingup, may possess row upon row of bucolic charm, but what it produces is a very serious product.
