Oils ain’t oils at olive oil judging

Less than favourable olive growing conditions were the reason entries in Northern NSW Olive Oil Show were down this year. However, quality was high, with most of the 19 entries medalling during Saturday’s judging in Tamworth. Varapodio Estate at Buronga, near Mildura, won Best In Show, beating Moonbi growers David and Justine George in a ‘taste off’ for the big, silver trophy.
