No hampering best food

About now, Lindsay Bourke will have fielded all the congratulations for his Australian Honey Products’ win of the top prize in the Royal Hobart Fine food Awards with Taverner’s Honey Nectar. Carol O’Neil of Cradle Coast Olives will have pinned up her sixth champion olive oil sash, Huon Aquaculture will have attached gold medal stickers to five of its products and the committee that runs the awards will be debriefing on how it all went. This year, there was a record 1300 entries in the Fine Food Awards, making it a completely different beast than when chief steward Carole Rodger first took on the job five years ago and had 300 entries to wrangle.
