Local olive growers have the good oil

Local olive grove L’oliveto were the clear winners at the 2012 Spring Sydney Royal Fine Food Show awards in Sydney when they came away from the night having been crowned Champion Boutique Extra Virgin Olive Oil. “It was a huge surprise,” said L’oliveto owner Susan Burke. “We’ve only had the grove for three years and before that we didn’t know anything about olives.” L’oliveto was awarded their medals and winners sash at the All Things Fine Food Function on October 25.
