Indian Olive Association Meets in New Delhi

The Indian Olive Association (IOA) held its 5th Annual Session in New Delhi on November 1. VN Dalmia, president of IOA, said India’s olive oil imports had grown by nearly 40% from 5,000 tons in 2010-11 to 6,900 tons in 2011-12. Imports in the first quarter of the current financial year 2012-13 stood at 2,300 tons, leading to the Association’s expectations that total imports during 2012-13 would exceed 10,000 tons.
