Fleurieu Fiesta! Olive Awards’ tribute to Willunga industry guru lost at sea

An annual olive award has been renamed in honour of a prominent local olive grower who was lost at sea in February. The 2014 Fleurieu Fiesta! Olive Awards will pay tribute to Vince Scarfo who with his brother-in-law Luigi Palombo, went missing in waters off Cape Jervis during a fishing trip. Mr Scarfo, a second generation olive grower, was a Willunga olive oil producer who launched Diana Olive Oil in 1989.
