AOA is currently researching organic certified products that may be suitable for application to olive groves.
We would be pleased to receive any recommendations and advice on these products – contact the OliveCare® Administrator olivecare@australianolives.
Note: The following herbicides are currently registered for use in olive groves:
- GLYPHOSATE (Roundup) – Group 9 (previously Group M) Herbicide – Non-selective herbicide for the control of many annual and perennial weeds – MRL=0.1
- GLUFOSINATE (Basta) – Group 10 (previously Group N) Herbicide– Non-Residual control of broadleaf and grass weeds in various situations – MRL=0.1
- PENDIMETHALIN (Stomp) – Group 3 (previously Group D) Herbicide– for the control of wireweed, annual grasses (including annual ryegrass) and certain broadleaf weeds – MRL=0.05
- OXYFLUORFEN (Goal) – Group 14 (previously Group G) Herbicide – For the selective control of certain broadleaf and grass weeds – MRL=1
- CARFENTRAZONE-ETHYL (Spotlight) – Group 14 (previously Group G) Herbicide– for de-suckering olives – MRL=0.05
- ORYZALIN (Sharp Shooter) – Group 3 (previously Group D) Herbicide – pre-emergent control in non-bearing orchards – MRL=0.1
- FLUMIOXAZIN (Chateau) – Group 14 (previously Group G) Herbicide – Control of grass & broadleaf weeds – MRL=0.02
- PARAQUAT (Gramoxone) – Group 22 (previously Group L) Herbicide – Control of annual grass and broadleaf weeds – MRL=1
