Canowindra olives feel the chill

You might have been enjoying the warm start to winter, but spare a thought for the confused crops and plants around the region. The olive harvest started in May and usually the early varieties would be easy to pick, but not this year. On his farm in Canowindra, Sam Statham was surprised to find his Corregiola olives, an Italian variety used to make oil, were not ripe.
