Blaze takes out olives

Toowoomba businessman Karsten Wendland has suffered the wrath of bushfire season after a blaze caused almost $700,000 damage to his olive grove. A fire with a one kilometre front tore through the Wendland Olives plantation at Stonehenge near Millmerran on Tuesday night. About 4200 olive trees were damaged in the fire, which burnt through 16ha of the olive grove and more than 84ha of bushland.
