Olive Oil Association launched in Macau
A group of Portuguese food lovers living in Macau are working toward the creation of an Olive Oil Association (Confraria do Azeite), which will celebrate its official launch this weekend. Hoping to promote the Mediterranean product around Asia, João Tique and Gilberto Lopes, members of the organisation, believe the association can play an important role in bringing the Portuguese local community together, while also enhancing the population’s knowledge of olive oil and its uses.
