Consumers duped by slick labeling

(Hong Kong) shoppers are being misled by Chinese labels that claim pomace olive oil is pure olive oil, the Consumer Council said. Of the 11 products labeled in English as olive pomace oil or pomace olive oil, five did not say that on the Chinese labels. The remaining six did not have any Chinese product names on their packaging.  When the oil was sold at retail outlets, the price tags did not indicate they were olive pomace oil in Chinese.
