Wild weather across New Zealand

This week has been a worrying one for NZ growers, with Tuesday seeing the arrival of a complex low pressure band bringing rain, thunderstorms and gales, and snow for the South Island. The nzherald.co.nz website reported that MetService had put out severe weather alerts across both islands, with Bay of Plenty, Auckland, Northland and Canterbury – some of the country’s top olive producing regions – expected to be the worst affected.
